Spotted: lots of cops on 17th Ave SE

No less than 13 cruisers and at least 20 cops required for child seat enforcement. Approx. 10:30am @ 17th Ave SE in front of Co-op.

well, i am going to buck the trend in the thread.

Good for them! I personally think this is a good thing! I seriously hope they were not handing out tickets for this, but more as an education part, because the fire / EMS teams are no longer offering to teach people how to make sure a car seat is installed properly.

traffic is structured into TRU's ( traffic reconstruction units ) that work a single shift together. For a DUI checkstop they have mobile officers as well as the static point, here they are all static

Regardless of their shift structure it's an ineficient way of doing things. They want to do a blitz so bad? Split up the group and station 2 or 3 in various areas of the city.

They never did this back when you and I were kids and we managed to survive. Cars were way less safe and so were child seats. Again as I said I don't really have a problem with what theyre doing but it's the manner in how they do it.
