Lots of Police?

Hey guys,

So I was driving from work to a friend's place last night (April 15th) (Blackfoot + 42nd to Westhills area) And i noticed that there were random police cruisers just hanging out on the sides of the roads with lights on. This happened right at 42nd and Blackfoot, then again at 58th and Blackfoot. Then I got onto Glenmore heading west, and didn't see anything untill between 14th and Crowchild in the far right lane... Lights on, just chilling. Then again by Westhills, and again on 17th west and Sarcee.

I know there was a massive accident on the Deerfoot south just before/after McKnight ( could have been Memorial, I can't remeber what was said) But I don't think that would warrant cruisers hanging out in all those other random places.... Any one know what was up?


Oh yeah, first post, all that fun stuff... tried to make it something meaningful.

was down by crack alley on macleod and they had 2 blocks taped off. no accidents or anything... parking lot in front of the crack alley was still packed at 1am

yup, suspect fled in a vehicle, cops are probably camped out looking for the car in question. it was right near the crack ally

Its called "containment", you are placed by dispatch to cordon off main access points to/from and area.

Youre just sitting there in your car looking out for a specific make/model of vehicle or person of interest.

hrm, well yea there is the one on the train at 8&8, but then there is also the one on 1st st and 12th ave (or whatever), north of where bamboo tiki lounge, cherry lounge, shadow, the castle, hop in brew, etc. is/used to be? and south of bromley? they are both kinda crack macs, except the one i'm talking about is more east and near 'crack alley.'
