I'm looking for some cheap, simple no thrill weights to add to my home gym. Kinda went out seeing what was out there the other day but was really disappointed by the cost of each weight, $15 for a single 10lb weight...

To me that was kinda ridiculous, after all its just some heavy object...

What places do you guys recommend?

I get all my weigth stuff from Fitness depot and if my short term memory serves me right, I was there two weeks ago and their 10lb hex dumbbells were about $10 each. You can call and ask so you don't have to waste time driving there.

Also check your local Walmart and Canadian tire.

^werd to Kijiji. I picked up a very nice set of equipment for a giveaway price.Brand new bench, bar, weights, dumbbells. Person was moving and just wanted to get rid of it ASAP. If you see something you like and you think the price is right jump on it, because chances are the stuff will be gone quick.

Also buysell.com (Bargainfinder) has some good deals.

+1 one for kijiji. Grabbed an Olympic Weight set with rack of dumbbells from 10-70 lb. It also came with a full squat/bench/pull down rack. All for $200. Ridiculous compared to in store prices...
