Since this car first came out I have always wanted one. At first, I wanted one because they were pretty gangsta and I worked at a stereo shop and installed some pretty badass systems in them. Then I found out they were four door Supra's in Japan. This is where my story begins . . . .

April of '08 I come across a 1999 GS300 in the Autotrader with almost 300000km on the odo. But the price is there and I can't say no, so for $10,900 it comes home with me to my garage.

She was bone stock. The outside needs some work, but the interior is mint. The only aftermarket piece was a POS JVC cd player, soon to be replaced as well. I started the mods small. Front and rear STB's, HKS axle back exhaust and AVIC-Z3

I wasn't too worried with the high km's because 300 might as well be 80 on a Toyota. And if it was a problem, the motor would be coming out shortly. July '08 I go to Autodream and talk to Marvin and get the show on the road I buy the motor.

http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z60/ryan6425/000_0020-1.jpg

It is a thing of beauty! i could hardly wait to get her going. BUT, when you special order things, that is what you end up doing. It was just a motorset. I needed things, LOTS of things. It started with an intercooler. Not just any intercooler, a GReddy 4-row for the JZS161 Aristo

http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z60/ryan6425/000_0009-3.jpg

http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z60/ryan6425/000_0001-6.jpg

I also bought an HKS downpipe, Walboro fuel pump, Aeromotive FPR, HKS FCD, HKS SLD Type II, HKS intake and an HKS Super Sequential blow off valve.

Thinking that I would keep it "stock" to start only to find out the truth later on. . . .The floodgates would soon open.

The stock turbos. . . not as attractive, they have to go!

http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z60/ryan6425/000_0012-2.jpg

To be replaced by:

http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z60/ryan6425/000_0004-6.jpg
http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z60/ryan6425/000_0005-4.jpg

mmmm tasty GReddy T78-33d Turbo kit!!

The stock ECU will no longer be able to handle what the turbo will throw at it. The walboro is just too blah for what I now have planned. Aeromotive, everyone has an aeromotive. Stock injectors? 440's are just no good for 32psi!! Exhaust, well since I'm all flashy now, hand made exhaust is not an option. My transmission? if I don't want it to grenade shortly after start up, then a cooler is needed. HKS blow off valve, way overdone. So, out with the old and in with the new.

What's a GReddy turbo kit without GReddy Spark plugs??!? (I know I Know, they are just denso iridiums, but, anyone who knows me knows my namebrand addiction lol)

Finally! all the parts have come together. Now to take some time off work to get this done.

Stock engine. That's got to go!

And it's out. End of day one. Notice the tiny single car garage, Man that was hard, but I got it done!

Now it's time for a little dance. GE comes out and sits on the floor. GTE comes off stand and sits beside it. GE gets taken apart and put on the stand out of the way. GTE gets put together and installed.

Around 800 by the time I am done. :D

Time to install the turbo kit. But first, a quick trip to Autodream to have Nguyen weld up some stuff for me. Open dump wastegate is a no no, so back into the exhaust it goes.

Car is awesome man, I can appreciate the time, patience and money it takes to order high end parts. It's never a fun experience waiting 4 months unsure as to when stuff will ever arrive. Keep us posted on how things go. BTW what turbo did you go with? It's early and I read through the thread but you either didn't post it or I missed it.

GReddy T78-33d kit. I waited for a while. I ordered the stuff in July and got some of the stuff in March. 7 months was a looonnngg time to wait for about $5000 worth of parts. But all good things come to those who wait and right now I have ALOT of good things!!

Thanks, I am selling the walboro 255lph and I am currently running a SaRD 265lph. Pulled out the stock fuel line and I'm running -6an feed and return at a 37psi fuel pressure.

Ah i see. Yeah i dunno, I couldn't see a single walbro hitting 800whp...maybe if you run a twin setup. Is one sard going to do it though? Especially if you upped the fuel line size? Maybe if you threw an inline pump along with the Sard?

nah, if anything, I will add another SaRD in-tank. Walboro's are not what I needed to attain the goals that I have, so out it goes. I might even upgrade further to dual -8an feed and single -8an return, I've got SaRD 850cc's that I haven't even installed yet.
