The rust obviously. The SR20DE tranny could have a problem with the 5th gear. (Pop out sorta thing). Aside of that I don't really know what could be wrong. You may want to go on www.sr20forum.com or www.nissanforums.com

As far as I'm concern they are great little car. Fun to drive too.

Interesting little machines, can be excellent handlers if setup properly too. They were the hot car in the street tire classes in the states for solo 2 for awhile. Friend of mine has one, neat rides.

Yes i agree, cool little car. Motor wise its just like anything. If it hasnt been properly maintained it may have problems. Otherwise they are very dependable.

ugly lil buggers that could go pretty fast if done up right.
one of the few cars of its day and price range that had LSD i think

here's a pic of a modded one Hakkola, i think you should be able to tell whether or not you've seen them around.
although the bodies may be the same, the nx2000 and the nx1600 are two totally different machines

thich is right...the 1600 is completely gutless whereas the nx2000 is decently fun to drive, kinda like a ugly crx...

It's got 140HP. Can't remember the torgue though.

NX2000 = NX with an SR20DE.

It's also got bigger front brakes and rear disk as well compare to it's brother (NX1600). Side skirts. Fog lamps. Different wheels to fit on the bigger brakes. (From Nissan it came with 14s inch.) LSD in some models. (Can't remember if they all came with the LSD.

Got too love the SR20DE, but the 1.6L is still an awesome engine. Easy to work on, and still make decent power.

The egg (NX2000) is a fun but ugly little car.. a few people have SR20DET from the nissan bluebird swapped into them. Definately a lot of potential :thumbsup:

I think torque was somewhere around 130ft/lbs

I used to have one as my first sports car....great little car easy to work on, decently quick, nice seats and ergonomics and it was fun having the t-tops.

Spotted!!!!!! Haha, saw one parked at Mt. Royal, I guess you just don't notice them unless you know what it is. Tiny, looks fun.
