Saw on Camaro5 (http://www.camaro5.com/) that owners are starting to take delivery of the 2010 Camaro. Anyone seen on yet on the roads? How'd it look in motion? I'm dying to see one at a light :) Or anyone see one at a dealership.. wanna test drive.

These are the first 3 camaros delivered apparently

I can honestly say this is the first modern domestic car I would seriously consider as my next car. In black = hotness.

I happen to work down the street from the new Jack Carter and could have sworn that one drove by the office today. Red, sexy, and rumbles the street enough to make my pants wet... mmmm

All we need now is a test-drive review written up by A790.

Saw one on the 401 heading into Toronto a month ago. Didn't see the plates but he was probably from Detroit heading up to Oshawa where they are built.

the first Camaro's Sold will be the V6 models as of the GM website. and how is the interior a disappointment? if you have sat in a 67-69 Camaro its identical in most ways. the cluster. the gauges by the shifter everything.

i think its a beautiful car.

Not saying anyone here did, but surprisingly a lot of people confuse the challenger for one.

I'd love to own one - even the LS.

A lot of people ,especially girls who aren't too car savvy think it's the new camaro and even chargers are thrown into the confusion.

thats what i said.. but apparently redlyne_mr2 was driving behind a blue one the other night.. i trust him.

the dealership told me they will land anytime now.. they have been shipped to the states.. which is wierd since they are built in canada.

It's not a Mustang, therefore, I don't love it.

My position on the matter dates back to the good ol' days of Ford vs Chevy battles in rural BC... you know, the only issue that matters. ;)

On looks alone... I still prefer the Challenger.

id take the challenger over the camaro anyday

Perfectly designed to look like the original

I'm positive I've seen one driving on the highway a couple times. This was months ago. Everyone claims it was a Challenger but the cars do get released to the lucky few that are on the inside.

Same way I saw a new Nissan GTR in Phoenix 9 months before they were released for sale. He had the badges covered up but they have people test drive them around in real world to hammer out the last minute bugs.

Regardless, I like how GM is going bigger and bigger in size and weight again when there's a supposed energy crisis. They can throw 600hp at a 4000lb car still get spanked day in and day out by an import with 1/2 the HP and lover 1/2 the weight.

I've seen 3 of these already and I agree with a lot of people in this thread, it doesn't really look as nice as the Challenger in person.

If I had to pick, I'd go with the Challenger SRT.

Camaro over the Challanger any day, even though the new Camaros interior can use some work it is still much better than the Challengers

+1
it's not as nice as the G8 unfortunately but at least it's not parts bin like the Challenger's

I'm not a fan of any of the retro "pony cars" in my view they are terribly tasteless and with in a few years will be seen as extremely tacky... must like the fins of the late 50's. With this said, if I had to pick one it would probably be the camaro. The challenger is shockingly poorly made and so heavy that one might almost conclude the the subframe was made from lead.

So you choose your cars based solely on how they look?

Aleks

Camaro Coupe LS $26,995

Camaro Coupe 1SS $36,995

300 hp for 27K
400 hp for 37K

I don't know how nice of an interior I'd expect with these figures in mind.
:dunno:

Genesis cut corners on their interior and people say it's because they are cheap but when GM does the same it's crap?

have you actually been in the interior of the genesis and the camaro? The genesis has a much higher quality interior than the camaro and that really isnt saying a whole lot...

Camaro's wont be sold first as the V6 edition... we have a camaro coming in any day now... And as for a test drive.... I highly doubt you'll be able to unleash one of these for a while.. Just at our dealer there are 5 people with deposits and cars ordered.. They have said for the 2010 model year were only getting 9. I would find it hard to beleive that a dealer would let anyone out in one.. just my opinion though....

I have actually at the car show. Genesis is a lot more expensive than the Camaro when you comapre similar models. Just like G37 is a lot more expensive than the Genesis.
