Yep, and that is the exact reason we dont put our summer tires on until after our May longweekend.

Yep, it's always like this. Every year. :)

Though according to the weather network, chance of snow has been reduced. We might not get it... yet.

Not exactly. That's the exact reason why we shouldn't put our summer tires on until after May long weekend. Some people still don't learn.

It take me 45 minutes to swap 4 wheels.

25 minutes if I have help.

I would rather take the chance of having to change them twice then run down squishy rubber on warm pavement.

i swapped my summers on about 2 weeks ago, if we get a serious dumping, i will take the Jeep.

My weather network app is now telling me there might be a chance of nothing! :D (Wishful thinking, I know)

Mind you, this is Calgary and it will always be messed up. I have seen it snow in every month so far. Nothing weirder than getting a centimeter in July!

I'm not worried. It's warm enough during the day that all the snow melts anyways. It isn't sticking around.

I've been on summers since I got my Evo, and that's going on 7 weeks now. Not one problem, and there was still snow on the ground back then.

Starting to get it pretty good in the NE.

Yeah it's like this every year. I remember a blizzard in mid-May some odd years back that lasted about a day. Got up to about a foot of snow and it all melted in a week.

Ha Ha. Watch the city gravel/salt all the intersections they just cleaned. There will be trucks out tonight regardless of the snow sticking around or not.

The City of Calgary has already said that they won't be spreading gravel.

Only salt if necessary.

Holy crapasaurus it has picked up. The snow is hitting the windows so hard it sounds like it is raining outside.

Hope everybody has a safe drive in. If you are on summers, take the LRT.

Neil4Speed

Roads are bad this morning, I saw a chick in a Sienna just spinning rubber on crowchild at a standstill.

is this the daily weather vent thread? ok good.

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

I ran a red light today because the clown behind me couldn't stop. (I had already stopped) We had just witnessed an insurance card swap-meet and this clown still didn't slow down.

Other than a couple of spots with extremely bad ice, my drive in was uneventful.

You and I both know thats the first ray of sunshine you've seen in 7 months. :D

In all seriousness Vancouver is awesome in the spring, the rose buds coming out, the warm mornings... wicked.

I hate this city. Wish I could move. Im tired of 8 months of -150 and 1 month of spring, one week of summer, 2 months of solid rain, and 1 month of fall :(

I think people simply forget that it snows in Calgary and actually try to drive with as little regard for the laws as possible.
Slippery roads? That means you can cruise through any red light you want.
Icy conditions? Pull out in front of people and hit the brakes.
Too much snow in the curb lane? Just turn right from the inside lane, yo.

:) We've had a great winter this year...minimal rain...

Lethbridge hit 28C on Tues, and got fucking hammered with blowing snow late Wednesday. Side roads were pure ice, Hwy 3 closed this morning due to accidents.

Haha, that's actually pretty damn accurate. The weather is a lot more f'd up than it used to be here though, I don't remember getting woken up at night by wind shaking my house every few weeks, it used to be maybe once every few years.

3 days of snow is hardly a month. I hate Calgary more than anyone but to say we get 8 months of snow is fucking retarded. Most of the winter is pretty mild and we only really have snow from mid November through mid march so we maybe have 4-5 months of snow on a bad year.

Ya, really. Try spending a winter in Newfoundland.

Was behind this Mazda R7 Cherry red colour on Crowchild yesterday......:nut: The moment he stopped on nosehill, and tried to accelerate we were looking at each other...It was ridiculous how he had those tiny tires on! and this was the whole way up nosehill! He almost caused a huge crash because everytime he'd accelerate the back end would dip into the other lane, and some moron decides to beat traffic and cut in between two lanes. :banghead:

We were all at a halt ready to turn left, and this dude just blazes on by...for fucks sakes, SUV or not slow the fuck down.
