If anything these are quicker than those crown vics. Most traffic stops dont involve high speed pursuits anyways so power really isnt needed.

Perhaps it's just me...but I don't see light bars or anything...

Probably just for promotion...special events, shows, schools...

Am I the only one who wouldn't feel particularily intimidated being chased down by a civic? :)

Why do both the white and the black one have the same number on the door? Am I the only one who thinks these are chops? The blue/gold stripe on the white ones does not look like real pinstriping...

EDIT: I now think the black one is real, probably for promotional purposes. I think someone chopped the white one to try and match it.

Look closely at the grill and headlights, you can see the red and blue lights.

Ottawa Police had one of these several years ago, when the new civic first came out. Not sure if it's an Si or not.

Kinda doesn't make a whole lot of sense. If you need to make an arrest (suspended lic. or dui) you need to call for a wagon, not much room for required safety equipment, either (if you've seen inside the trunk of a crown vic you know what I'm talking about).

OPP also had an SiR (hatchback, generation before current) which they had 'tricked out' for promotional and awareness reasons. I'd be more worried if I saw one of these unmarked w/ someone pulled over.

I imagine these get a lot better mileage on the highways, and that's why they're in service.

Yeah doesn't make sense that they have the same number? Maybe their fakes, just like this thing:

^Haha, no shit, but seriously are most going to run from the cops to avoid a $150 ticket but risk something far more serious for a failed escape?

Ontario doesn't have the black fleet stickers that Alberta uses on the plates?
