theres not too much of a difference i'm told but the isobolic seems to have casein in it anyone know what that is or does?

not into bulking up just for recovery and extra protein in a day

any help is appreciated

dude the isobolic tastes like shit. good product though, but if you really need a good tasting protein (which i would think you would, since you'll be having it every day) then i wouldn't recommend this stuff.

with that said it is very different than the power whey you are taking. the power whey is just whey isolate protein. your body digests this type of protein in about 20 - 30 minutes, so the power whey stuff you are taking is probably the best for immediately after a workout.

the isobolics is a 'blend' of different types of protein (including whey, casein and egg protein). each of these types of proteins digests at a different speed, so it sort of mimicks a 'sustained release'. This is one of the better options for non post-workout protein, which sounds like what you're looking for, just a daily protein to take.

the most popular of these types of 'sustained release' proteins blends is Syntha6 by BSN, but personally I recommend MyoFusion by Gaspari. tastes good and good quality.

hope that helps.
