Like the title states, i am looking into getting a new pair of shoes for my black IS300. I am not really sure what style to choose because there is such a wide variety. I am kind of leaning towards some bronze Rotas right now, but like i said i am open to suggestions. Feel free to post pics so that i can make a more educated decision. I am fairly flexible on price, but i dont want to exceed $2500 for rims and rubber.

find a used set of TE-37s, they look hawt on IS300s. Shop around and wait for deals with wheels. I regret buying my Tenzo-Rs seeing that I could have gotten a set of mint used Works or Rays for a bit more or same price.

these ones work on the ISF, more of the concave style rather than big lip style.

sorry i couldn't find direct links to the wheels

I am liking the look of this wheel or something similar...Maybe a little thinner spoke though. Any thoughts??

Wheels are a very subjective thing, the work emotion kai, volk t37, advan rgII, advan RZ, volk Ce28, voilk re30 would all look great.
This IS is running AME wheels in an aggressive offset
http://ll.speedhunters.com/u/f/eagames/NFS/speedhunters.com/Images/Jacco%20Willemsen/Car%20Features/IS300%20ILL/IMG_2998r2.jpg

The IS is a sports sedan more than a luxury sedan so the vip, luxury style wheels dont suit it. It needs a nice one piece race style wheel to look good. The rims you posted above are just way to busy looking and wouldnt suit the car IMO.

:)

Thanks for the input. I am going to head into Urban Expressions next week and take a look at some pricing packages and hopefully have some new shoes as soon as it stops snowing

EDIT: Redlyne, what wheels are pictured above?

I love TEs, but thats some cash for 18s. Are Rotas a no-no?

Rotas are just fine... not everyone wants to shell out 3K on wheels which is cool. The wheels on the red IS are AME's in a very aggressive width and offset. If you do like the "race wheel" type look and are on a budget then definitely look at Rotas, just make sure you get the proper sizing. :)

I plan on getting the wheels now, and then adding coilovers a few months into summer. The guys at urban expression should know what kinda of sizing i will need in order to get the stance i am wanting. It will not be as aggressive as the red IS because i just don't think thats feasible for Calgary roads, but something similar is definitely in mind... Thanks for the help!

don't forget to come in there with ideas and stuff though.

know what size wheel you want, what kinda look (search up the rims you want and come in with the list of what you like, it'll make it easier for you), color, maybe type or tires or whatever

urban expression is great though, they do know their stuff. cause when i first went to bob "hey i need some rims"
what kind? what style? what size? how much you wanna spend?
"uh i dont know." haha

Yep, hit up the IS forums so you can add some input as well. If you're looking at 18's an 18x7 front 18x8 rear +30-35 front and +35-40 rear would probably work. Hopefully other IS owners can chime in, you may be able to run even lower offsets. Like you said though for our roads and it being your daily driver you dont want to go crazy.

I have got a few general rim styles in mind, so i can kind of work with them from there. I know one of the employees there as well so he will be helping me personally so that should also help me out in my search. I really am leaning towards either an all bronze TE37 look alike or one with a chrome lip. I also like the look of an all black powder coated rim with just a red stripe around the wheel, but i have not seen anything like that on an IS300 yet.

I personally would go wider but of course it depends on the offset. Here is a good link showing you the math and determining if the wheels will fit before you need to roll your fenders.

i'd go wider as well but if you're looking at Rotas and price is a factor then you're limited to the widths they offer.

Still have not made my way into urban expressions... Been super busy but i think i am swinging by either tomorrow morning sometime or after work on Thursday. I have been looking around and ind of pricing my own stuff off the web, and i think i am leaning towards something like this Rota in bronze..

Have you considered these?

I thought these would look amazing on an IS300 and the price is great.

Edit, here are some pics!
