Hello All,

I was wondering if i could get some advice/ ideas :). A friend of mine just started up with photogrphy, mainly portraits and fun with people kind of photos and i was hoping I could get some ideas on places that would make for a good back drop. In and around the Calgary area, outdoors preferred, something where you can be serious and have some fun as well :)

Thanks a bunch, looking forward to hearing some great ideas!

I don't know the name of the place but it's a hill that limo drivers take grad kids to get pictures taken. It has an awesome view of downtown....

We went there for our grad. I think it's called Scotsman Hill? :dunno:

Nose Hill Park is pretty sweet too!

Here are a few ideas.

-Nosehill

-Fish Creek

-Stephen Ave ( there is a Graffiti wall around there somewhere that is a cool backdrop)

-22X towards Bragg Creek any turn off usually has a great backdrop of the mountains, hay bails, whatnot...

-There is a pedestrian bridge in Kensington that has a nice view of the river and DT.

-Fish Hatchery (allthough they are doing construction to the weir right now so might not be as nice as usual)

-Calgary General Hospital Ruines (Rundle)

-ZOO
