If you are on the stock turbo, Mid 13s is all you can expect from the Subie. That is with 1.6s 60ft times.

Hit 13.3 or 13.4 last year shutting down halfway cause I broke a coolant line. That was a 1.7 60 ft

^^^May 1st or in general?
Yes bikes race, they just race each other. You guys have a separate line and can only race other bikes.

In Calgary with no traction off the line at 3000 feet of altitude?

Correct me if im wrong, but altitude doesn't really have any effect on forced induction applications.....anybody?

I still doubt they are pulling that, but who knows. I don't know of anybody that ran 13.7 consistently with a stock sr20det, stock turbo at 13 psi...not in Calgary anyways, but i did :D

it shouldn't affect it drastically or not near as much as a NA vehicle but i do believe their will be a small difference..

:dunno:

Never seen it stock. Stg.2's are low 14's with a very good driver.
I had the fastest time on the local cobalt board with my n/a rsx in 2007 with a 13.5 here. Some are faster now, but 14's stock here is optimistic, but not impossible. Traction sucks, the altitude is a very small factor for those cars, yes.

i used to own a cobalt and you can definatly hit 14s with a stock ss/sc. you wont hit low 14s though unless you got stage 2. someone hit 14.1 with stage 2 catback exhaust and cai.

and revhard wasnt your rsx turbo?

If a stock GTI can go high 14s with a 2.3s 60ft I don't see a reason why a Cobalt SS/SC couldn't do it with half decent driving.

j.garner
04-30-2009, 11:12 AM
yeah i guess it would really be up to the 60ft im sure ill get into the 14s just prob not on the first run considering ive never been to the track. Ill prob be nervous and get a bad launch or reaction time. But is all for fun anyways there should be a few cobalt ss/scs there got about 4 or 5 confirmed from the cobalt forums coming

Don't worry about your reaction time. That doesn't affect your overall time as the timers start once you start moving. Reaction is only if you're actually trying to beat the other car. Just work on your 60ft time. That by far will make the biggest difference in your ET at the end.
