Finding out if a traffic ticket has been submitted?

Im curious if there is a phone number that I can call to see if an officer has submitted his ticket book and if a pending ticket is available ahead of the date that is on the ticket?

Or does a guy have to simply stop by the court building and ask the Justice of Peace counter?

theres a phone number on the ticket, but the cop can submit the ticket up to and including the court date... however they generally turn them in at least a week before the court date... I went through this with an error on a ticket, i kept calling and the cop never submitted the ticket.
