I have a command start 200 on my 98 4Runner that has been mysteriously starting on it's own. I have it set for "starter disable feature" only. (one flash per second ) Any ideas what is causing this and /or how to fix it?

Check to see if there is a sensor tiestrapped to the heater hose or upper radiator hose.

If so, cut one of the wires going to it and this will disable the "cold start feature"

I have the same problem. The Command Start model # on my 98 Camry is 2400/2500. My starter hasn't worked for about 8 years and then it mysteriously started working.(I think the switch was bumped to the off position and now bumped to the on position somehow.) It now starts on its own every 20 - 60 min or so.

I found wires attached to the upper rad hose, how do I know those wires are not for anything else? And, do I only cut one or both of them?

Thanks

cut them both and isolate them.
