Automatic transmissions weren't available until the evo VII. Might want to double check what you've got

Then it's a GVR4 transmission and engine, not evo3 stuff. There's a pretty big difference between the 2 so unless you're being intentionally misleading I'd probably change your descriptions.

Then it's a GVR4 transmission and engine,

It's not a GVR4 engine either. The GVR4 after 1990 was a V6. The RVR engine is a 7 bolt engine same as the early Evos, the difference is a 14B turbo and TMIC and probably different camshaft.

GVR4 had the 6 bolt 4g63 with a 14b until 1992, no V6 until 1993. The automatic VR4s had a turbo even smaller than the 14b though.

Either way, the evo 1 2 and 3 all have different transmissions none of which are automatic. The RVR was not rated over 230hp until 1997, which means it wasn't using EVO3 bits until after then. So the transmission is not evo3, and unless OP knows for sure which year RVR the motor came from, he shouldn't be selling them as EVO3 parts. Not trying to stir shit up, I just don't want to see people paying for parts that may not be as advertised.

all the rvr is is a detuned evo motor its the same motor minus the tuneing and it has a smaller turbo but the cams n everything i belive are the same size. and its a 7 bolt motor not a 6 bolt motor. its the same motor at the evo 3 just de tuned it has the same throttle body just a de tuned computer. because the rvr runs a top mount and not a front mount and the evo 1 and 2's are 6 bolt motors not 7 bolt motors.

Technically speaking it is derived from the original VR4 engine & drivetrain which was originally introduced into the Evo1, and subsequently evolved into the Evo2 & 3 models. More specifically speaking, yes the Evo3 engine/drivetrain was used at the time of manufacture to run in the RVR, albeit in a detuned version with a smaller TD04HL turbo and approx 169kw.

How can you say that the evo 3 drivetrain was used, when evos never came with an automatic transmission? Also, the evo 1 2 and 3 are all 7 bolt motors, just like the 1gs after 1992.5.

So, unless your RVR motor came from one of the 3 automatic RVR models that actually has the EVO3 engine (1997, 1999 or 2000 Sports Gear 3), then the motor is very different. Turbo, injectors, pistons, head, exhaust manifold, intake manifold, cams, o2 housing and transmission are all different, and that's just off the top of my head.

Either way, I see you edited your post so no point in going on
