The bodywork is painted a mostly blue or primer, and is off the bike right now, but I'm pretty sure it's like the second pic you posted.

The 88-91's were more rounded styling without the flat sides.

The top one is an '86 GSXR750 limited edition.. rare as hell. Dry clutch from the factory. If memory serves it was a homologation special for the different racing series that were around in the 80's.

Bottom one is the regular/standard paint scheme.

Thanks, I don't know a lot about these older GSXRs. This one just followed me home and although it would be a sweet project, I've already got a chopper and a streetfighter on the go and don't have the resources to take another project on at the moment.

This is an absolutely iconic bike that revolutionized sportbikes of this era. I can provide the stats, but this bike was quite honestly almost a decade ahead of its time when it came out.

Sportbikes today only weight a bit more then this thing did, which was almost 100 pounds less then the competitors bikes.
Numerous revolutionary improvements were to thank for this.

This bike was at least more iconic then the R1, when it first made its debut in 1998. This really is a piece of history right here.

Bow Cycle has an 86 GSXR750 limited upstairs with around 10 km's on it.. Never started or ran, has the roughly 10 km's simply from being pushed around!

I should buy this one and restore it.. my wife will kill me if I come home with another bike haha

Saw this bike today, the engine, frame, and gas tank are worth the asking price, without the fact that all the wiring is there and most of the bike is complete.

This is a slabside GSXR, the next generation was the slingshots...rounder, different frame, etc. My bike is an '89...
