Calgary auto auctions. Where?

hey, i know theres a few auto auctions around calgary but i dont know which ones are good or where any are or the names of them. I'm interested in the police auction because i heard some good stuff about it but want more info. What are the names of some good ones?

I've sold with Regal, and I've attended Regal and MA with intent to buy. With auctions, you have to get a good deal to make it worthwhile, as there is slightly more risk since typically you don't have the car fully inspected or road tested before purchase.
That being said, I'd consider an Auction for my next car.

Be careful with bank repos they are sold as is. Even if the tranny is effed there will be no chance for arbitration

Why would this be any better than vehicles from dealer lots? Most of the vehicles from the police auction are adbandon vehicles, which equals crap.

What are these Dealer-Only auctions? IMPACT only sells cars which are write-offs... Adesa? I thought they ran the same type of thing as IMPACT.

Adesa is a dealer auction out in Airdrie which is one of the good ones. Salvage auctions are ok if you know what you're doing. I see a bunch of people there who start bidding on a car not knowing shit and they end up buying them for almost what you could buy that same car privately thats not written off. Too many idiots out there :rofl:

there is accually lots of cars that are not right offs, many have small damage like bumpers, grills, fenders. some have no damage at all. You need to know what you are doing or you can get in some trouble.

Most of the ppl that are bidding high are usually the ones that work there, so they up the bid just so they could sell it for more. Ive seen it done at Impact!
