For under $1500, it's either going to be horribly smashed up or missing it's engine. With another $1500 on top of that you might find something nice.

You will not find a running 1g AWD tsi for 1500 bucks, Not one that doesn't need major work anyways.

Just spend a little more upfront, it'll save you more money in the end.

my buddy just bought an awd turbo laser for 1300 thought the turbo was gone but turned out it was valve cover gasket :D

My brother in law bought one a few month back for $1500,93 tsi awd,not a mint body but not beat,he got through the whole winter without any problems with the car at all,He found his on the local dsm forum,so maybe you will luck out and find one too.
