So I heard these are extremely comfortable and last for a long time. Are they still being manufactured and would I be able to try them out at a place like Future Shop? I'll also take a used one off your hands.

Also if somebody has a old monitor they want to get rid of I'm looking to upgrade from my 18inch LCD to something a little bigger and sharper. PM me or reply to this thread.

They dont still make the original model m, no. I found a brand new one on ebay, still in its sealed box, for super cheap. I suggest you just watch ebay and search for 'model m' or 'clicky keyboard' until a good one comes along.

If you're leet enough, there's also this: http://www.daskeyboard.com/

hehe I LOVED my old Model M, and haven't used one since maybe 97 or 98 when I upgraded to this:

http://www.keytronic.com/home/products/specs/e03601p1.htm

It's got the same shape, it's less noisy, and has about 90% of the Model M's feel. I could type faster with it because each keypress required a bit less effort, I actually ramped up my typing speed from 125 to 140 when I switched. It's a membrane type keyboard but it feels closer to the mechanical keys of the Model M.

I've collected about 15 of these keytronics ones in case they didn't make them anymore. But they're tough as shit, I'm still using one from '99 at work. Dirty as shit, but works perfect.

Oh ya, I bought the original daskeyboard (the black one with no letterings) and it's just a rebadged Keytronic E03061.
