How long does it typically take for a new listing to appear on MLS?

If you are talking about the MLS (realtor.ca) website, new listings only show up on the following Sunday.

Realtor.ca is horrible..if the listing agent doesnt map the property properly then it will not show up on realtor.ca

here is the old version

 @ having the old search link

Correct: even if the listing agent mispells the street name, it will automap the listing in the wrong spot. Many realtors don't double check. (I've caught myself once too)

I've seen this too. I was looking at inner city homes and found one in Coventry Hills that mapped out to somewhere in Crescent Heights.
I hated the old MLS site, and I still dislike the new one. I guess they give us a junky site to encourage us to use a Realtor(tm) hey? Smart.

what I ended up doing was using the mapping and search features on the andrewkyle website, then writing down the MLS numbers and looking at the details on the realtor.ca website.
A bit of a hassle, but it worked for me and I bought a house.

OMG thank you! My wife needs to use MLS all the time and has no idea how to read a map... and she hates the new MLS site that doesn't allow you to see all listings in a community unless you know where the community is on a map.

Because the thread is 5 years old, lol.

Ironically, the older version of Realtor.ca (that everyone hated) is better than the new version.

The andrewkyle realtor website I linked to earlier in this thread no longer works either. would love to find something that has some mroe advance filtering features, like the ability to look for triple garges.

Ask Jordan for a mailing list for that. I've been getting one for 3+ garages under $750g for about 2 years now.

I'm surprised that the age of the property is not a filter option as that is one of the buying criteria that I have. (house built in 2003 vs 1912) for example. I'd love to see that they add that in there since they always mention the age of the house in the detail part anyway.

I like the new one more but it took a while to get used to it.

Jordan's site has advanced filtering, and like previously said you can subscribe to email alerts for new listings that fit your criteria.

I use this site. It let's you select by decade built
http://www.remaxcentral.ab.ca/properties/

*edit: I haven't used that particular criteria, so have no idea how well it filters.
