This is probably a pretty stupid question, but how many people bring out stock or only lightly modified cars. I want to track mine this year but all my friends say nobody bring stock cars out and if they do they get laughed at... I'm pretty sure they don't know shit but, figured I'll ask.

i brought my stock civic siR out last year and there was a few other stock cars there. depending on what you drive it might be faster than some of the modded cars anyway. and if its the car in your sig, then it definitely will be...

That's what I assumed but they said nobody will bring out a stock LGT, even after I kept reminding them it's at stage 1. Than again... they think that Celicas are fast...

Not that high. ~230 at the wheels, ~280 at the crank. That's just going off what other stage 1's are at.

What are you driving? I'm on the fence about heading down there tonight only because it's so far away.

thats not too bad. i'll be in a blue rhd civic hatch. on the dyno i made 186whp and 173wtq with a 9psi spike out of my 1.6l :thumbsup: i'll only be running 7psi tonight, but only my torque numbers should suffer....

I've seen stage one LGT's there they run mid 14's I believe.

That's faster than about half the cars you'll see there tonight.

It is $25 to race $5 to spectate and helmet rentals are $3 I believe if you need one.

Snell M2000 helmet or above I believe. I'll have the red car with too many decals :P

you should be right around there with probably about 170whp which is what you'll probably see at 7psi.

If you can drive you might hit 14.2-14.3 remember to slip the clutch off the light and keep your foot on the gas that is what helps lower 60 ft times.

i still expect to see 186 whp. my turbo cant hit more than 7psi in the high rev range. when i upped my boost i only got torque gains. i also have launch control so that should help my 60ft times

If it's setup right :P

I had that on my turbo EF last year and I had set it too low the first time around and it bogged off the line every time lol.

I am guessing yours has a B16 right?

You should be launching around 5-6000rpms is my guess.

should be fine unless you launch at 7k lol. Traction off the line is horrible here normally so I don't think you'd have an issue.

When you're ready to go for that axle just let me know I wouldn't mind working on it at all;)

did what i normally do in winnpeg with my all seasons.

9.39 secs in 1/8 mile
14.3 1/4 mile @ 98.6mph

i was doing that in winnipeg using my 2 step, but here i just rolled off the line cuz i was scared to snap my axel.
the august track date i should have beefier axel's and hopefully slicks to break into my 12's goal.

well my civic is incredibly slow and looks like my clutch couldn't handle the 60wtq I was throwing at it and started slipping pretty good on the third run...

My solosprint series driving school is next week and the first event is the week after so looks like I will need a better clutch before then ugh....

Anyone have a used d16y7 or y8 clutch they'd like to get rid of?

My opinion is, you need better tires.
Also being the first night running, there was no base of VHT & rubber that gets built up as the season progresses. For a 1st night, I thought the traction was pretty good.

I only had time to spray both lanes out to 100ft & only the really fast cars were having issues after that. I was launching softly(1.90 60ft times) & still running 11.9@116mph with no traction issues at all.

I'll turn my bottle on next week & we'll see how it grabs.

Ya that was me running the IS-F as my last run I screwed up cuz I jumped the line and reversed back cuz I thought they'd reset the time(Noob). It was my first time dragging a car and I didn't know they keep timing when jumping the line so I ran a 21 sec 1/4 mile on my last attempt. Here are my other attemps. Anyhow I couldn't break into the 12's as it was slippery on the track. 1st gear pretty much spins all the way through. Anyhow I kept hitting low 13's...also I had a 3/4 tank of gas in the car. I wanted to go with 1/4 tank but I wasn't prepared for the tracks as I was informed last minute that it was open.


1st run on left slip was without a tq brake launch. Just wait for green and punched it.

2nd run I did a tq brake launch at 2000rpm and I did a better 60' time but got a slower qtr mile time and lower trap speed WTF...I screwed up around the 1/8 mile length as u can see on the slip the difference in time and speed trap at 1/8 mile. I screwed up cuz I was going towards the right and I had to correct back to the left so I think I lost some time there.

I'm pretty sure I would of hit 13-13.1 without screwing up on the 2nd run at the 1/8 mile mark.

I guess I did ok for first time.

I have tried my Gtech Pro SS meter run and did a 60' 2.158 and 12.9 @112 mph with less then a 1/4 tank of gas but also with a 1ft roll out as it's built in like that with the Gtech Pro SS meters. I requested a 1 ft roll out at Race City but they said they didn't have that. I would say the 2nd gen Gtech Pro meters are pretty accurate cuz my first attempt I tried on the Gtech Pro was 13.1 with a 3/4 tank of gas. Also street I get way better traction then I did with Race City.

All in all in the end I know I can get faster then this and get into the high 12's if I can get my 60' time to 2 sec and be more prepped for the drags. I guess I need more practice with my tq brake launches. Maybe next time I'll do better:P
