I am heading to Chicago for the weekend coming up...I will be taking in the Hawks/Wings game obviously but anything else cool to see or do that you know about?

1)Millenium Park + the big silver bean.
2) Lou Malnati's Chicago Deep Dish pizza.
3)The harbour and the aquarium are close by to the park.
4) Micahel Jordan statue.
5) Go to a Chicago Chophouse, not like the crappy one in Calgary lol

Other than that, I dislike Chicago, O'hare sux and the traffic is horrendous. If you ever have to drive through, the tolls are constant.

Things to Do
See the brand new modern wing at the Art Institute, admission is free on Thursday and Friday
Check out the Museum of Contemporary Art
Grab a beer and get rowdy while watching movies at the Brew & View at the Vic
There is a huge Harry Potter exhibit at the Museum of Science and Industry (which is quite awesome itself)
The Shedd Aquarium (the newly renovated Oceanarium reopens on the 23rd)
Drinks at the Signature Room on the 95th floor of the Hancock Building
Architecture Boat Tour
and of course lots of shopping options
Live Jazz and drinks at the Green Mill

Food
Sushi at Mirai
Hot Dougs
Mexican on the Patio at Las Palmas
Dim Sum at Shui Wah in China Town (lunch only)
American Contemporary (food and beer pairings) at the Publican
Brunch at Milk and Honey
Brunch at Twisted Spoke
Forno for Italian
Jin Ju for Korean
Chicago's Pizza and Pasta, my personal favorite pizza - Stuffed Spinach with extra garlic
Lou Malnati's has good pizza
Pequouds has a unique thin crust pizza that's good
Piece for thin crust pizza and their in-house microbrews
La Gondola, doesn't look like much but excellent family style Italian
Tamale Guy, roves from bar to bar bringing fresh awesome tamales

Bars
Goldstar; a local favorite, awesome bartenders, pool table, free popcorn
Map Room; one of the best beer selections in the city
Rainbo Club; another local favorite, divey with cheap drinks
Five Star; Rock bar with good food and a stripper pole
Exit; Chicago original punk bar, bondage night on thursday, open till 4am
Violet Hour; upscale and relaxed, some of the best mixed drinks around
Bar Deville; newer joint, huge space, pool table
Small Bar; good food and good beer selection
Rossi's; best dive bar in the loop, cheap drinks and you can have food delivered
Happy Village; best beer garden in the city
Lava Lounge; Cluby but chill
Continental; Rowdy, open till 4am
Simons; Best jukebox in the city
Liars Club; I've always been too drunk to remember much
Black Beetle; good food

Amazing city! Loved it there...the architecture river tour was phenomenol...a must for any visitors there!!

Went to Blackhawks/Wings game 4 (the reason for my trip). United Center is really cool for sure...saw Soldiers Field, Wrigley Field, Navy Pier and a bunch of other cool buildings, like where Dark Knight was filmed, Ferris Buellers Day off etc...

Definitely a wicked city!
