Can you tell me any notable differences in the models from 97-01?

Make up your mind please!!!!

I think A/C was optional in '97, and the later models came equipped with it. 2000-01 models had red seats instead of black.

That's what I remember, not sure of exact details.

1997-old school front end with the different bumper, headlights, steering wheel.

1998-CW, newer front end+headlights, ac optional

2000-Py, new color+ac still optioned

2001-Cw with red interior

In canada a/c was a option in all years it was only the later years in the US that a/c was standard.

The 97 had no rear wiper and a few other little things missing, making them a couple lbs. lighter.

I thought the all red tail lights were only in 2001?

Pretty sure the taillamps are swappable. I remember legendboy had 01 bumpers and tails on his 94 LS

I'm sorta interested in one, just cause it can still seat 4 and have some aggressive grunt to it lol

The tail lights are swappable, but you have to replace the headlights if you want 98+ bumpers on your 97 and under. And besides that, there is a little modification to do.

I'm probably shooting myself for telling you this boost, but there's a 01 for sale on Canadatrader.

I was thinking of getting one, but I won't have the money till March. :banghead: :banghead:

White and yellow are the only two available around here.

I've also seen black and red. I'm pretty sure there are other colors too.

Ok here we go....
It is also "rumored" that the 97's have less aggressive cams than the 98's. Is there truth behind it....not sure.
Black was offered in the US. Red was offered in Europe and Australia.
No difference at all in the rims/brakes between years.
All tailights are swapable as I've already done it.

Other than that I don't know what hasn't been said....

Same here. You guys have it all covered. The state's model had a titanium shift knob for 2000+. I like ours better.

shadowz

Black he would need to import from the states, personally i dont like the yellow one, but its all good, and the only Type R with 4 lug would be in japan 97 and previous it came as 4x114.3

I have to sell the S first but my budget would be around $20K for a new car

Perhaps a GSR might fit the bill since it's more of a daily driver. After driving the S2K for 7 months, it's more of a toy than anything else. I imagine the Type-R to be more like a toy car too......track oriented and super stiff handling/suspension

With that said, I do love my RSX-S to death, a great combination of sportiness and comfort.....but i have to return it to the gf once i sell the S lol
