I didn't know what other forum to put this in, but it sounded like it pertained to the health side of things :P
I was wondering if anyone knew where in Calgary to get stuff such as a real badger hair shaving brush, and proper shaving soap/cream, not the canned stuff that is sold in every supermarket. Also, does anyone know where to get a proper single blade, old fashioned safety razor?
Brands I'm looking for:
Razor: Merkur
Blades: Merkur or Gillette (safety razor style, aka the old fashioned razor blade with the hourglass cutout in the middle)
Cream/soap: Proraso or Colonel Conk
Aftershave: Suggestions on a good aftershave (not alcohol based! Want my face to be soothed, not feel like it's being eaten by 1000 hungry fire ants)
Why am I asking? I'm sick and tired of shaving and preferring to be slapped in me nuts with a brick instead. I looked into it, and old fashioned wetshaving seems to be the answer to all my prayers, so I'm looking at giving it a good few months try.... but to do so, I need to get a proper kit :) Hence this thread and the question of: where in Calgary to get it :P I can find all the stuff on the net easily enough, but there is about $50 worth of S&H alone <.<
