License question (license dates)

Hi All,

My girlfriend and I have recently purchased a car. I'm looking at the insurance side of things currently and have run into a problem with license dates.

Apparently my girlfriend has received the following licenses on these days:
G1 08/1999
G2 07/2004
G 04/2007

I'm not from Canada but didn't think the above is possible as you have a certain amount of time to take your G from G2 license. Am I correct or does the above look OK?

The last date may be a renewal date but I'm not sure. The MTO website isn't the best. Any help or view on this would be ace.

You'd have better luck on an Ontario forum, most of us aren't too familiar with the Ontario licensing system.

It looks fine. Those are her renewal dates. The licence is normally good for 5 years depending on if you have any health conditions.

Thanks for the help. I don't want to give the insurance company the incorrect dates as im sure it could be used against us.

why don't you ask the insurance company?

I have asked the insurance company who make an assumption on the bases of the G license being received around one year after G2.

I want the facts as I know they will use any incorrect information to their advantage.

We are going to contact the MTO to be sure either way.
