Buick LaCrosse name to be changed in Canada
Embarrassed officials at General Motors Canada have to re-name their latest model after discovering it was a slang word for masturbation.
GM spokespeople said they had been unaware that LaCrosse was a term for self-gratification among teenagers in French-speaking Quebec.
They are now working on a new name for the LaCrosse in Canada. The car will go on sale next year to replace the Buick Regal.
One suggestion from the Spies...you may want to re-think the "Like a rock" slogan there as well!
We also heard a rumor that before this was discovered, they were thinking of getting Peter Gabriels "Shock the Monkey" song and re-titling it for the ad campaign! :)
