I was hauling a project back into town and my truck died on route. It has ~190k on it.
I was driving; felt like it was loosing power (mind you I'm pulling 6500lbs), then it cut out like it ran out of gas. I've towed it back to my place now and need to figure out WTF is going on.
Right now it has:
-No spark
-fuel pump isn't running (but I can jump so mechanically it is still good)
-lots of air in the fuel lines so the pump stopped working a bit before the engine cut out.
-indicator for the transmission gear (P,N,R,D....) isn't showing up.
What causes loss of spark and fuel? It's something electronic, possibly a security system disabler of some sort?
