Observatories open to the public???

Me and the girlfriend want to know if there is an observatory open to the public. I checked on google and I looked up the Rothersay or something or other one owned by u of c but can't find much info on it.

There are specific nights when it is open to the public otherwise no you can't just walk in when you please.
