Release Date: June 12th, 2009
Trailer: http://www.apple.com/trailers/magnolia/foodinc/
IMDB: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1286537/
Looks like it'll be a good movie. I've often wondered how you can buy a cooked rotisserie chicken for $7 at Safeway and still have everyone up the supply chain make a profit (Safeway's worker that packaged it, Safeway itself, the hauling company, the meat processing plant, the employees at the chicken farm, the chicken farm itself, etc).
A co-worker told me that the meat industry (pork, beef, poultry) is heavily subsidized by the government... could explain a lot, I guess.
Does anyone know if this will be playing at any of the theaters in Calgary?
