I am looking for a decent quality bike for this year(no department store bikes etc). Would like something Kona, Giant, GT, Gary Fisher, Rocky Mountain etc. in a 17 inch frame, 26 inch tires and at least front suspension

I have a 2004 Cannondale Prophet 600 for sale. Dual suspension, lefty fork, disc brakes, 27 speed...I'll let it go for cheap as I just picked up a new bike.

kona koa, circa 1997. Double butted aluminum frame, 19", metallic red, full rigid.

Has some sentimental value though, first bike....... I shouldn't have posted, pulled the bike out and I can't let her go, 12 years old and still a beauty, I'm going to keep her, who knows in another 8 years maybe I will shun my suspension and build her back up and ride it again.................plus she has a few scars I forgot about....

I have a early 90's TECH bike (Calgary made!). Chromoly frame, 21-speed Shimano Deore STX drivetrain, clipped pedals, Onza bar ends, Marzocchi front suspension. Should fit you at 5'8" but will need a tuneup/air/etc as it hasn't been ridden in like, 10 years! Let me know if you're interested.

No worries man. You told me it will need some work before being ridden. Turns out the wheel just needs to be trued, I will drop it off at the bike shop this week to get it true and a tune up.

you just need a wheel, don't worry about the gears
It's easy to swap over the cassette (gears) over from the old rim
