Can I use the stock bolts on aftermarket rims without any issues?

Need more info.

The threads should be fine, but with a lot of aftermarket rims you'll need skinnier (tuner) lugs. Sometimes the holes are deeper as well, so you may need an extension for your socket.

Depends on the rims, depends on what comes stock with the car.

Almost 100% of aftermarket wheels have tapered seats like \ / where oem wheels usually have ball seats.

A ball seat lug will hold a tapered seat wheel but will cause damage to the wheel.

A tapered seat lug on a ball seat wheel will not be as good and will also cause damage.

This is for a friend so I don't have all of the details, I think I'll just tell him to get aftermarket tuner bolts to be safe.

Thank you guys for the help.
