Hmm you'll need the right buyer for a car like that.. it looks to be in great shape however the celicas never had the same allure as the corolla gts of the same vintage. If the engine swap was done right and the car isnt a project I would say between $3000 and $4000.

what engine swap are you talking about tho?

and yea not a project i don't think theres anything i could fix and i don't want to ruin it with aftermarket parts.

i dont plan on selling it or anything its gotta get me around tel i get my mr-2 engine swap done.

Just like Ryan says.. Obviously you need the right buyer. That appears to be a great looking car, but at the same time, it's wasn't exactly the most desirable. If anything, these cars were pretty common, along with the ST184.

Something like this is best appreciated by keeping it. I wouldn't think it would be worth more than $4-5k. With the right buyer, you can probably push $6k if they really really wanted this.

I remember a while back I saw a similar car in that condition (maybe 3-4 years ago) in the Auto Trader. It had less kms, was red, and was going for $5k I think.

There's really no harm in listing the car for the price you want, just like what I did with my MR2. Only took me 2 years to sell it.

It's hard, because it's not old enough or rare enough to be truly collectible, and it's too old to be "on the radar" of most people looking for a daily driver. I actually think the retail price is likely to be closer to $2500, unless you really find the right buyer.

Looks like a beautiful car, glad to hear that you're hanging on to it.

I loved my car and was not keen on selling.. I only listed it here, on Beyond (where we know cars sell really fast) to keep the wife happy. I don't even think I bumped the thread for about 8 months and then one day, it just sells.
