Does anyone know where I could find a place to do some Olympic lifting in Calgary? I hear its a great workout and wouldn't mind doing that sort of training during the summer.
Thank in Advance,
Are you looking for instruction or just a facility? If the former, I did the intro to weightlifting seminar offered by peak power sport development (http://www.sportdevelopment.com/). Some really good instruction. They have facilities as well and are located at SAIT. Talisman also has a lifting platform near the power racks, with bumpers. Not sure what the policy is on dropping though. Best solution, build a platform at home

Not the same man.
OP, not quite in Calgary - but checkout Natural High Fitness in Okotoks.
It's a small place but the owner (Andrew Gustafson) is awesome.
Get a couple sessions with him, he'll get you on the right path.
Olympic lifiting is excellent, very Androgenic (Raises Testosterone, Growth Hormone etc) and will sculpt a lean, muscular physique. That is assuming diet is spot on.
EDIT: I should say it can help sculpt a lean muscular physique. It won't just because you do a couple cleans lol.
I found a place that fits 100% what you are looking for.

Thanks for the info guys,
I've talked to Peak Power at SAIT, and since I've never done it before they say I need to do a tutorial, which they maybe one a month when enough interest builds...
I'll give Natural High Fitness a call and see what they have to offer. I've also heard NSD has an Olympic liftin program which I'll check out.
I guess I should of given out more information. I've never done this type of workout before, so I'm looking for some 1 on 1 training. Anyone know any more places to look at?
Peak Power is the only place I would bother going in Calgary. Amazing group of guys and trainers.
check out bodybymurphy.com
My buddy Kyle would most likely be able to meet up with you at a gym of your choice. He is certified to teach/train o-lifting. Great place to start and then shift into Peak Power if you like it.

One night after the cycling class Andrew was doing 1 armed snatches, he was only using about 100# but he was using and Olympic bar, which I was pretty impressed with.
