Just wondering what people's opinions are on fuel injector cleaner. The stuff you can buy at Canadian Tire, and just dump in with a full tank of gas.

Is it worth it? Does it really do anything? Or just a gimmick? Maybe does more harm than good to your fuel system and/or catalytic converter?

Thanks for the info! :)

I can't say that I notice a real difference, but I do it every now and then (about every 5 fills). I don't think it's a gimmick, but I'm sure it won't hurt the car.

It made a noticable difference on my car, I bought the STP stuff I think...4 bucks and change

It won't make any difference in your car. It doesn't clean and restore dirty injectors, it's preventative maintenance... and even then, it's still a maybe. I use it cause it might save me repair costs in the future and I'm pretty sure it doesn't hurt the car. Its a good deal if you buy the stuff in bulk from cosco.

Well I ran 3 bottles through three tanks and I had good success...

i tried that "STP" stuff ($3 a bottle @ Wal-Mart) after my 30,000 KM oil change. my mileage stayed the same, but i notice that the car doesn’t feel as weak when the gas tank is getting low. these are my observations after 3 fill-ups. for the price, $3 every 6K oil change, it is not a lot to pay for preventative maintenance.

I haddn't ran any through in a long time and wow it made the fuel economy go up huge. I probably had some junk in there. I can say it helps.

It Doesn't Hurt your Car but how often you use it depends on your driving habits is it mostly city(stop and go) or Highway if you do a lot of City Driving Use it every Third take is all that is needed:D
