if you dont change any of the settings you can slap it on and just use it to monitor without effecting anything

Yes you can...Plus for monitoring its a great tool...Just as a few of the DSMer's on this board...

also the GReddy emanage, how does this comparte to that?

:dunno: I don't know much about the GReddy ecu thingie...But with the AFC you can lean out or richen up your fuel mixtures, resulting in more or less power through your rev range...Its a great montoring tool as stated above...and with the right tools can be a great way to squeeze that last lil bit of power from your motor...It fits inbetween your various sensors and your ECU...Thereby "tricking" it into seeing more and less air and/or fuel...and plus...Turst me...chicks SO dig the displays...:nut:
