What would a custom install like that cost? And yes include the .beyond.ca discount, it seems only fair.

Snap. That is the silver 6.0 i've seen all over town the last few months. So sleek, and sexy. Classic lambo

typically around $2000 depending on the car. This one has a couple race cats, and Lambos use several proprietary egt fittings which require machining.

The good ol' Countach is really looking dated. I remember having posters of this bad boy in my room back in elementary.

Not just you... same headlights. Lamborghini bought the headlights from Nissan for the Diablos starting in MY99.

Back in the day when MAYBE one person in Calgary had a Lambo. Then you'd go on holidays to California and see all the exotic cars.

Silver one is nice but the driver is a fucking idiot, ripping down 17th on a Saturday afternoon when there's heavy traffic and pedestrians everywhere.

Grats for showing off I guess? :dunno: The Lambo tag must give you an excuse to drive like a retard.

Those Diabolos are kind awkward to drive, you sit in a very reclined position. cool car none the less. working on them... thats another story. other than an exhaust change that is.

I'll have to agree with Rick, these cars are made to turn heads, not for functionality, they are a big car with no room, and lots of wasted space. Really, they are built like a kit car, with crappy mig welds on a square tube steel frame, hoky cable and pulley hand brakes, and wrapped in a sexy body. That said, it really is a great example of Italian Engineering, where appearance seems to be everything. The interior of these cars looks great.
I had a customer who was seriously considering yanking the V12 and replacing it with a Chev V8, as it was the easiest way to make real power and get some semblance of reliability:eek:

True. In fact, if you look closely, there is a small strip of carbon fiber on the top of the lens cover. The purpose of that CF trim is to cover the word "Nissan" that is visible on the plastic cover.

I love the one guy's comment on this page:

elwood: I thought we were going to find out that the Trans Am shared every part with the Camaro.

Yeah the Diablo has always been my favorite car growing up. From a looks stand point, I can't get enough. Too bad the car is morotically expensive to maintain.

Yeah the 99 and newer Diablos use the 300zx headlights, the tails are from some french economy car of that era, the mirror controls are from a Saturn (mid 90's one IIRC) and they share a lot of other misc. parts (such as the foglights) from other european released cars, such as Fiat and Renault. They borrowed a LOT of parts in that era.:dunno:

I used to have a parts list from all the different cars they stole parts off of, but it was nuts to see the full compilation. :nut:

I missed this thread, sick car. My friend had one a while back, and yeah he liked it, but he said he could never drive it far, couldn't see anything out of it... The pains that a lambo driver must go through lol.

I guess you could call the 300ZX the slut of the headlight world in the 90's.

Haha.

They are nice headlights though. Glass housings!

it makes sense for those supercars to borrow parts from cheaper cars, i'm sure its quite the cost saver instead of having to contract a factory to make smaller custom parts for a short period of time (super car production periods i mean).

and it's funny the opposite for 'ricers' etc is buying tail/head lights from higher end cars and moulding them to fit.. in no particular example, integra owners with corvette or supra taillights... lol

Well, I always wondered why ZR Auto is located in the 'hood.
