Which car would be faster and overall better for a daily driver. I would also like to run the quarter mile and i am interested in drifting. So its between boosted gsr hatch or either an sr 240 or go RB.

no thats not what i meant. i'm not stupid i know you cant drift a civic. the civic would be used on the drag strip and circuit. the 240 would be used for drift haha. and i made my account name when i had a dsm but everyone knows you cant own one for life

Boosted Gtir

Its obvious which has more VTEC? Nissan's vtec is pretty good but Honda made it so it VTECs harder than most vehicles.

Well, it's tough to find a good 240sx, unmolested for a good price.
The best swap is all on your opinion.
SR20's are good high revving engines., popular for drifting.
KA24de(t) are real powerful, lots of torque,
CA18's are old, but have potential
To each is own,
I would personally find a 240sx, with a KA24de,
Rebuild it, get forged pistons, rods, do everything you possibly can,
Throw a GT30 on it, everything that goes along with it,
Nice coils, blah blah blah,

OR A RB25DETTTTTTT!!!
Rb25 is da beast

With a S13, possibilities are endless.
S13's can go sideways,
EG's can go sideways, but only when there parked and being pushed by a plow.

in my opinion, the honda would be a better daily driver. my nissan couldnt make it more than a month without something serious going wrong. my honda has been boosted for over six months, and all ive had to do is tighten a few things back up periodically.

but my opinion is biased so you should really just do what you want... oddly enough though , the turbo on my car is from my nissan...

My 240 has been pretty good, nothing major after everything was fixed on my s14 sr swap. Just general maintenance, oilchanges, fluid flushes. been good for about....6 months now with no problems.

Yeahh, i would go with the Honda if you want reliability.
I have talk to alot of people who are doing minor mods to there cars,
and have them sit for days because something went wrong.
Honda's are "THE" most reliable in my books,
OWNED TWO!
One had over 423xxxk on it,
Ran just as good as my one with 228xxxk
=D
i love em

My 180SX was mint and had almost no mods when I got it, and it turned into hell. I have put so much work into it in the past 10 months.

to solve your problem of loosening bolts... with hondas its easy... torque the bolts more then the car puts out... got an
inch pounds torque wrench? that should do nicely.

the problem is solved now. it was just the initial vibration and the fact that parts were still new and hadnt been heated, etc.

and my b16 made 173ft lbs on the dyno at 4040rpm with only 186whp.... who says hondas cant make torque?

In the end when it comes to the 1/4 mile cubes is king. Go with the one with the largest engine.
