Info on this Custom 2000 Civic SIR

So I work at Calgary Honda, and I found out that my used car manager recently bought this Civic from a guy who wanted out of it. (Dude knew nothing about the car)

Really sweet fully custom Civic inside out! Gotta see it to appreciate!

For those that have a good memory probably will remember this particular Civic from back in the day from Car Shows where bodykits and paint jobs where the trend! (Fast and Furious style!)


So now it's parked in the Calgary Honda showroom, and i'm just wondering if anybody out there has much info or background history of this car that would help me or the dealership sell it? Cuz I have a feeling that it's gonna be sitting there for a long time! I believe my manager overpaid, now he's relaying on me to sell this thing, cuz he knows that I know ppl in the "TUNING" world! (That's what he said too!)

Most info i know on this Civic is that it was done up from Comtemparary Motor Sports (CMS) And it appeared in numerous car shows from the past........that's about it!

Yup, I remember seeing this SiR on the Platinum Mitsubishi lot 1.5 years ago too. So whoever bought it from Mitsu didn't keep it long or it's getting passed around used car lots around town.

Yo I'm interested in dis whip, it looks tite. But I gota wait till I sell my 87 ackord. It's got rimz, tint and a sik system. I also put a RS Akimoto intake on it, u know da one which goes up front in da bumper, tha intake is low to tha ground so it sux up all the cool air for more hp. Do u guys think I can trade it for this Civic? You guys would obviously have to give me some cash bak on the trade cuz of my mods.

My budy is a mechanic and he wants to check it out first to make sure its proper. Also my other budy knows how to drive stick so he will take it for tha test drive. My other budy has got mad hookups on all kinds of parts so I will be addin some more sick parts to it. Good thing I've got da hookupz so I can get all the parts cheap as hell (cost minus 50%).

So it's not that Calgary Honda is greedy...it's just that Bloomfield is a little :nut: and :confused: when it comes to cars like this! I guess he's trying a different approach to this.....I would love to sell this...so come see me if you wanna drop by! hahaha! Might as well make the best of it!

The $$$ discount on the SI's were larger than the discounts on the EVO (a car with a much higher starting point) and when you consider price point Honda was selling 08's for almost 2/3 of the prices of 06 models. 1999 SIR's sold for over $26K ten years ago and those cars didn't have near the level of equipment. Sure part if it has to do with the recession but the other part is that the demand for the car just isn't what it used to be.
