display problem

i just formatted my computer and i can opnly get 2 and 16 color display i was wondering how i go about getting back my true color??any help would be appreciated and thanks in advance

if you know what video card you have, go to the manufacturer's website and download the drivers for your video card. Your motherboard drivers might help if your video is onboard.

If you dont know what kind of card it is, give me the model number and brand of your computer and I will crunch some db's and see if I can find you the right file.
If you run a windows update in the driver section Windows might also provide a suitable driver for ya.
