2 gig of mem.

Dual xeon proccessors (Intels high end/commercial power processor) which IIRC have 1 meg cache each.

nope, I am pretty sure it is dual with hyper threading. Makes win2k think it is 4.

 Someone knows their computer stuff :) 2 physical processors but 2 logical processors on each physical processor resulting in 4 processors.

Dell offers mad discounts on all their servers, especially when you've bought more than 1 or are buying more than 1.

mmm dual xeon's w/ HT :D

however, win2k server does not natively support HT so it will actually think there is 4 cpu's in the system. So if you went to Xeon MP's and went w/ 4 of them, win2k server would still only see 4 and not the logical processors (unless this has been fixed in 2k... then im horribly wrong!)

Which is why I only went dual xeon HT. :).

I can always move to advanced server if I needed the CPU, we're licensed for that. Nice to have MCSP.
