Microsoft Excel Training Courses?

Hello all, I am using Excel more and mroe these days and am quite the hack. However I would like to get some more formal training.

Can anyone reccommed a good 1 or 2 day Microsoft Excel Training course?

What are you really doing in Excel?

Macros? Just more complex functions?

I deal a lot with Excel and learned most my tricks from the help files and google.

You'd be surprised how many excel forums there are out there.

For Macros, all you'd need is basic programmming knowledge, the rest is just vba syntax.

Almost entirely using Excel to compile and create forecasts. So its all financial stuff. I'd mostly just like to take an intro course to find out more tools that might be of assistance to me.

Plus the company will pay for it, and it would be nice to get out of the office for a day for something useful.

Hey guys, I just wanted to bump up this old thread since this is exactly what I am looking for. I'm looking to expand my knowledge on Excel; I am looking for more VBA related courses. I know there's a few at continued ed at UofC, but is anyone aware of any others? Thanks.

i took some courses with my previous job, i did them at global knowledge, i was in the same situation as most of you, just googled my way through and got pretty good, the formal training did teach me some better ways of doing things, and a few tricks i had not thought of before...

however i did not see the value vs price in it, just my opinion, but if i were paying for it, I'd be disappointed, but luckily my previous employer paid for it, so i was happy with it.

I took 4 different 1 day courses, level 1, which i was bored in, level 2 which was a bit better, but still boring, and level 3 has 2-3 different types, depending on which way you want to go, that's where i got most of my info from.

Although it's a subscription based training, it's way cheaper than any other formal training. Plus I found their content quiet easy to follow.
