6 months old!

Lucas had his 6 month birthday on Sunday so we got the studio all rigged up and did his first official photoshoot! (I had such a brutal recovery after having Lucas, I didn't pick up my camera for 8 weeks, so we missed out on the newborn photos)

Anyways, these are them! I had tons of troubles picking just a few, so there are a LOT of them. Sorry! A little bit of background info to make some of them make sense; the whole parents being photographers is self explanitory, that camera is actually a decoration in his nursery, Rolland is an avid boxer, our favorite book to read Lucas is 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar' and we're from the home of the Stampeders :)

I still have a few things left to try with him, so I might add a few more to those, but for now, those are my favorites!

I had a bit of fun and let Lucas get a little messy on Sunday night. Went for the whole mud and construction theme, although Rolland swears it looks more like poo. Oh well, we had fun!

The frame is always hit and miss with kids. It was a tag team venture though, Rolland was standing right beside him. I'd get the camera ready and say "Go!" and Rolland gave Lucas the frame. It never lasted long in his hands.

As for backdrop, seamless paper on a backdrop stand :)

Is that black paper or is it some sort of black/brown. I can't tell but it looks very good. I offered to do some maternity photos for my sister-in-law and I think that back drop would look very good for the two of them.
