They're the best car ever produced from Japan... or at least at the top of my list...

I would love a mint 1970 240Z.... Stock. :)

Then I would like a modded to hell 1978 280Z

I had a '70 240z, a '78 280z and an 82 280zx Turbo with the rare t-5 5 speed.. that was a fun car!

Yeah, They're fun cars.. I really liked the earlier Z's tho, and I always wanted to put the Turbo motor I had into a 240/260/280z, I just could never come up with the money when I was young!

I currently have a 240sx with an RB20DET from an R32, it's still pretty rough around the edges tho.

i know what you mean i think i may have to take out a small mortgage for the triple webers that im tryin to get for my z. the only problem with the turbo setup is squeezing in the exhaust in on the earlier z's you have to fab your own headers and it takes a toll on engine bay heat!

as soon as the 'V' engine came out in 1984 the 300 was internally no longer a Z even tho it kept the Z style.. but when that changed altogether in 91 there was no Z in it left... and the price also seperated it from being a "Z"!

gettin this? The original concept of a Z was to be an inline 6 only; minimal weight; and affordable for the masses, it was the fastest sports car in the world that everyone could afford. The Z32 got crazy and at its height in 1996 the price was averaged at 52,000 USD brand new... a tad ridiculus when the first Z debuted at only 1,900 USD and quickly went to 2,400 USD in 69 and 70

I owned a 300zx for a short period of time.

It was fun to drive and had a pretty cool interior, not the quickest car around but it sure was fun to drive.

I currently own a 87 300zx auto, n/a, that i picked up for an extremely great price this June :bigpimp: . The car is originally a cali car with 147,000 miles on it. When i found it, it was sitting for 6 years and has never seen winter. No rust and the interior is near perfect still. Me and a friend got it started the same day and drove away with one hell of a good deal.

Anyone happen to have any extra "6 star" rims lying around that you wanna get rid of? :D I have an incomplete set.

An old friend of mine had a 72 240Z with a fuel injected 355 chebbie and a D1 procharger on it, and godamn was it a nice car. Handling was a bit disrupted due to the additional weight of the SBC, but it was still a light car and making about 550 RWHP the thing FLEW.

Never had the pleasure of owning a Z car myself, but I did own a 68 2Dr Datsun 510 and it was a helluva car to drive. Swapped in a red top SR20DET, and on the stock motor with a few bolt ons it was a TON of fun to drive. I'd love to get another 510, but they're few and far between around here and I just don't have the room to tear one down and get rid of all the rust right now.
