I am in Japan right now, and my parents in law just hooked up NTT OCN fiber to their house for about $60 a month....here is their download/upload speed in the middle of the day..
I am in Rural Kobe by the way, about 40 minutes by Train from downtown Kobe in the middle of a bunch of rice fields and farmers

haha that's pretty sweet. Do a speedtest to North America tho, I'm guessing it's pretty congested (and that's where all the good stuff is anyways).

Yah unfortunately traffic to NA isnt great, was hopeing to get a bunch of stuff of usenet here but max speed i get is just under 600k, whereas at home I get 1.2MB per second on my 7MB Cybersurf.
Here are the results to Seattle

:werd:
Parts of Asia and Europe have some great speeds locally, but the trans continental links most ISPs have access too are almost always running at 100%.

Wish we had those speeds and high caps here in Canada. One day eh.

Those numbers are mindblowing, I'm jealous.
I think Shaw must choke the upload speeds, I never get more than .49 Mb/s. Currently:

No surprise. Japan always gets the good stuff. I bet their wireless data speeds are faster than my home network.
