All jokes aside, what are some downsides to purchasing cars from Quebec? A buddy of mine says be weary of rust, since all they use to "winterize" the streets is salt. Anything else besides the chance of rust that should keep me from flying over and investigating a car any further?

I have to say, cars over there are on average, thousands less it seems. Just find one that hasn't been winter driven! hehe

Yea, look for rust and accidents and minor stuff. It's true, this place uses salt like a motherfucker, that's why I'm hesitant to even have a car here.

They HAVE to use a lot of salt, though. Have you seen how much freezing rain Quebec gets? Some places it's like several inches thick on the roads!!
