Any tips? I'm 6'3 215 if that helps.

You're the same size as me. Do you do any other exercising/weights? I do bench as well, and a lot of other arm exercises. Just stay it and do em everyday.

Well...3 days a week weight training. I guess back to the drawing boards.

Hold on... you weight train 3 days a week but can't do 19 pushups? WTF kind of training are you doing?

I sit in front of a computer all day and I can do 25 "good" push ups, and a couple one handers. And I'm not in any kind of shape other than "round".

Has anyone tried this?

If you're serious about increasing your strength, follow this six week training program and you'll soon be on your way to completing 100 consecutive push ups!

haha I can't either. I just tried, gave up on #15. It's just something I don't enjoy doing lol

Maybe someday I'll give that 100 pushup thing a try. :nut:

I find pushups to be one of those things that come fast though. Stick with them and do a few more each time.. But don't go over board cause your tits will hurt for a few days and turn you off them. I'd do 500 a night in highschool, 10x50, I always liked doing them though, and just got more creative, one handers each arm, hand stand pushups.. etc.

LOL.

I used to be able to do 2x10 sets of handstand pushups... but that was after training for 2 months to get all my balance muscles working ..

I make the kids in my Judo class do at least 150 during warm ups, 50 at a time.

I remember when I was younger, going to Judo at Hiro's...that was brutal. I remember getting out of class feeling like my body was broken, but it was such a good workout! Plus they had a Subway near by so I'd always go for a sub afterwards...

Which club do you teach at 89coupe?

I teach the juniors at Ishi Yama.

I don't make them do regular push-ups either.

I usually have them do diamond push-ups
Prison Push-ups, incline push-ups, wide grip, narrow grip, all sorts of stuff. I always mix it up.

...and for sit-ups we usually do around 600 of various kinds. So if its a class of 30 I have them do 10 for each kid continuously and then switch to push-ups, then back again.

Same with sit-ups, various versions, never just the regular.

Yeah I'm not good at push up's either. Arms are to long, but I think I can do 20 with proper nose/chin to the ground form.

Hand stand pushes, even against a wall rule, nose to ground for better range. Way better than regular imo
