Honestly I hope for:

Ford Focus RS
Chevrolet Corvette ZR1
Cadillac CTS-V
Lamborghini Lp670-V
Porsche GT3

The problem is that Top Gear has reviewed all those cars before pretty much. So we are just going to hear the same thing over and over.

The 13th series of Top Gear will return to BBC Two on 21st June 2009 with the usual presenting team of Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, James May and The Stig.

Despite forced budget cuts, Series 13 will contain new challenges, new power tests, more foreign travel and a race from London to Edinburgh between LNER Peppercorn Class A1 60163 Tornado with Jeremy riding in the cab of the train, James May in a Jaguar XK120 and Richard Hammond on a Vincent Black Shadow motorbike.

I haven't seen the episode yet (10 mins remaining on my Torrent...suprisingly fast). But I will assume it is the F1. Since there were spy shots of the boys in Dubai racing Veyron's, Mclaren F1's, LP670 SV's, etc etc etc

Edit - I've seen the preview and yes it is the Mclaren F1 vs Bugatti Veyron

dino_martini
06-21-2009, 09:01 PM
Solid first episode. Loved the race. The Stig bit was good. Evora is a hot little thing.

episode two is looking promising as well:

Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May attempt to find the perfect car for 17-year-olds, negotiating insurance companies, accident repairs and a muddy music festival car park. Plus, Richard goes to Abu Dhabi to test the new Lamborghini Murcielago SV and stages the world's first ever race between the 1000 horsepower Veyron and the mighty McLaren F1. Back in the studio the Star in the Reasonably Priced Car is twittering national treasure Stephen Fry.

WOW! at that Ferrari

A black unstriped Ferrari FXX (owned by Michael Schumacher[2]) was exhibited on the BBC's Top Gear show and recorded the fastest car around the Top Gear track on June 21, 2009, knocking exactly seven seconds of the previous best time seconds (for the Gumpert Apollo) with a time of 1m 10.7s. Perhaps it was no coincidence that on the same day, Michael Schumacher appeared to be revealed as The Stig, a mysterious character from the Top Gear programme, previously known only as Top Gears's tame racing driver.

The Evora sure have a shitty interior but I guess that's not the point of a Lotus anyway.

I wonder what kind of deal in background to get MS and the FXX out on the track? And the FXX does genuinely looks fast on the track.

Even Jeremy was ROFL at some point when his Volvo destroyed that little shed.

The F1 is still a fantastic car and I can't believe how much grip it has off the launch considering it has no traction control and that much power.

I thought this episode was okay. I liked last weeks better. Far more entertaining. The Sl65 Black is interesting, but I wouldn't buy one with my own money. Ken Block was pretty good. Even I had forgotten about the Fiat 500. Though I would probably still buy a MiTo.

That pretty much sums up my thoughts on the ep, although I did find the SIARPC quite entertaining, and car sauna was great.

Didn't find this ep that great, the car sauna is a sweet competition, need to get chicks to play along with me, but I found the SIARPC guy annoying as hell, but did like his lap.

Also would of been nice if they actually had a real point to showing the Ken Block scene.

The point was to show a driver with excellent car control do some tricks. It's a show about the joy of cars, do you need any more point than that?

(On a seperate note I would have loved to have been in that passenger seat!)

Normally when they do parts like that they actually talk about it more, whether its to do with power/driving/the driver/doing stunts, this was more of a no brains "lets go and drive a car round a dirt track for no reason" style of showing the event, something that I wouldn't expect TG to normally do, as most of the things they do they have a reason behind whether its a good or a stupid one.
