Hey lads (and ladies),
anyone know how to clear a mac book of all its files and basically restoring to new condition with the factory settings...and getting rid of all the files that were previously on it?
Cheers.

Reinstall OS X...?
I've done that to mine before...

I would assume that the OSX disc has an option to reformat and reinstall

Pop in the restore DVD and away you go.

Well, sounds all good and well, but this is a company laptop and would like to save all the stuff I have on there and clear the memory as best I can...for no particular reason of course! :bigpimp: :poosie:

I did this before when I upgraded my hard drive in my MBP. Create a .dmg (disk image) of your hard drive on an external, then reboot using the restore DVD
