ok i need to replace, rad, starter, alternator, timing belt, thats under a grand im guessing, or should i just buy an engine only b16a swap? and spend a little more for a new engine?

Even if you get a new engine, you will still have to buy the alternator, starter, radiator anyways. Those are usually not included unless you find a nice seller.

That kind of tune up would be easily over a $1000 at a dealership. The rad and timing belt would be around a $1000 unless you did it yourself which would still run you close to $500 and a lot of work.

I'd get the new motor, AND get the parts that are down. In most cases, when one thing fails in the car, it's like a chain reaction. So I'd pay a bit more to get all this and not have to worry about the hassles down the road. Plus if you buy a front clip it should come with everything you need.

You can probably do most of that yourself. Did the timing belt do any damage when it broke? Cuz if it did buy a new engine. Other than that you can bolt a new alternator and starter on, and the rad basically pulls out after you disconect and drain it.

160hp in a car the size of yours is useless, if you're gonna swap, throw in an H22A...unless you're talkin about the teg.

if its for ur da teg, i would consider the b16, less tourqe but high reving so thas good, you may also wanna ls/vtec and i was at speedtech talking to pat and he had one for 600 with all the shit! (juss the head though)! but if u wanna be crazy and money isnt to much of factor get an h22a!!!!!!!!! that in a gen 2 teg would be fuckin sick!!!! only one i know of now, used to work this guy, his name is amit and works/worked at a&b sound!! fuckin sick gen 2 teggy!!
