For your first car out of that list, Id go with either the Sir or 3rd MR2. just my opinion.

You got a good budget for your first car, look around some more, dont rush it.

would you consider a 1999-2001 infiniti g20? once in awhile you see a nice one pop up in the autotrader.

-edit-

found one on kijiji

What's your budget? Around $7-10K? I was going to recommend an RSX but that may be a bit out of your price range.

Out of the options you have posted, I'd say SIR is the best one, but I think it's a little overpriced to be honest.

for how long have you been driving?
are you planning to drive the car during winter as well?

I recommend the SiR and the 3rd Integra, don't know how easy/safe it is to drive a MR during winter.

Personally, I wouldn't buy car from someone with spelling that as atrocious as it is in the ad for the Civic.

I just putthese threads up so i can get a sense of what i need to look for when looking for a car and what kind of cars i should look at for a first ride. And what price range so far i got a pretty good idea of what i should look for and what i wanna get

Get something cheap. Chances are that you'll crash your first car or something will happen to it while parked at school.

And repay your buddy before you buy a car. Otherwise, you'll have a tough time paying him back once you have to pay for insurance, gas and maintenance.

pay your bud

then go pick up the MR2

there has to be something up with that SiR for that price

For your first car buy something that's not at the upper limits of your affordability.

Getting a Civic SiR that has 180k and probably has been bagged to shit is a terrible idea. You might get lucky and nothing goes wrong... or you might have some major repairs right around the corner. Or you might back into a pole and need to spend $800 getting a new rear bumper. Or you might hit a curb and need to spend $600 fixing your rim and then getting 2 new tires.

Most important thing to consider right now: Can you afford repairs if they come up?

i wouldnt buy that 3rd mr2.

IntegraG2
06-21-2009, 01:37 PM
buy my car haha :poosie:

Out of the three you have posted I would go for the MR2. boost is best...It shouldnt be too bad to drive all season as long as you get some good winter tires and get used to how much gas you can give the car in the winter.

Good luck on your search.......

edit: and if you are new drive please find a USDM one
